Rates...for taxi cab service

(1)   Our Basic Rates for taxi cab transportation are as Follows:

a.     For the first one-fifth mile: $2.50.

b.     For each succeeding one-fifth mile: $0.50......( $2.50 / mile )

c.     For each 80 Seconds  of waiting time: $0.50.

(2)    For each additional passenger over six years of age, an additional charge of $1.00 . 

(3)    For a trip originating between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the day following, in addition to the charges registered on the meter, a surcharge of $1.00 per trip shall be added to compute the fare for such trip.

For an Estimated Rate of Fare for a taxi cab service click on the link to Yahoo Maps Driving Directions, enter your starting address and destination address and click on Get Directions. Multiple the estimated miles by the above per mile rate and add the flag drop,that will be the total charge for a taxi cab ride.  

Example: 5 miles estimated distance of trip

5 x 2.50= 12.5+ 2.50 = $15.00     Estimated Rate
